Hello again and welcome back, dear reader. As is usual for my more dramatic lapses in posts here, there are a good number of things for me to discuss with you today. Firstly, I will not be dwelling on it, but I feel obliged to discuss briefly the end of this most recent World Cup. I was, simply put, heartbroken at France’s crushing defeat to Spain in the Semi-Finals. While Spain triumphing against France was not entirely out of the question for me, how conclusively and definitively the Spanish team won was quite the shock. After that game I must admit I divested myself for the most part from the final World Cup matches. I was happy enough at Spain’s victory against Argentina, but I did not watch or even pay much attention to any of the last three games.
Happily, however, I have not been entirely without recourse. Due to the admirable and concerted effort of a close friend, I have found myself growing increasingly interested in rugby. While I did not know much if anything about the sport, aside from how it bore a passing resemblance to American football, I have at this point watched a good number of games and have a workable understanding of the sport. The fluid pattern of teams attempting to push the ball up and down the field is wonderful to watch, and rugby has none of the constant stopping and starting seen in American football, much to my enjoyment. With the case of woman’s rugby, as well, I can say that a good many players are very pleasing on the eye, which aids in my enjoyment of the sport.
Now, to move on to the topic which won the title of this blogpost, I can finally say that I have an update on my PlayStation Vita ! Those who have read some of my earlier blogposts may remember how I bought myself a PS Vita but, due to Sony’s use of a proprietary memory stick in lieu of a more standard SD Card, I was unable to complete the process of fully modding it. I can now happily say that I have finally ordered and received a 3rd party SD Card adapter which has given me 64 Gigabytes worth of storage, which I anticipate being more than enough for my purposes. I have already enjoyed Gravity Rush, although I am still quite early into the game. The thing I am perhaps most excited for is being able stream the Vita onto my PC, hopefully allowing me to share my playing of Vita games on Discord. It does appear that I may have to get myself an auxiliary cord to make this happen, which I find myself annoyed at, however it is much simpler of a process than what is needed to stream the 3DS (something which requires extensive modification of the console, something that would cost a few hundred dollars, if it is something I may even be able to pay someone else to do still).
Finally, I am happy to announce that as of yesterday, I have switched myself to a five-day injection cycle for my estrogen. I cannot say what positive effect it may have but I am hopeful it will aid my emotional and hormonal stability. Astute readers will note that this will have my injections in sync with the French Republican calendar’s Quintidi and Décadi. This is intentional and, I must confess, was perhaps what most induced my switching to a five-day cycle. Somewhat ironically, however, this switch comes around two months before the one hiccup in my scheme of a five-day cycle synced with the French Republican calendar. For those of you unfamiliar with the calendar (which I must imagine comprises no small number of those reading this blog), the calendar is split exactly into twelve months of thirty days, with a five day period at the end of the year to round out the calendar. The problem comes, however, roughly once every four years with the extra day added to the complimentary days for leap years. This year just so happens to be one such leap year, and if I stick precisely with the five-day cycle I will end up injecting on Quartidi and Nonidi. While I imagine this would not be an issue for most, I myself am entirely against such a course of events, and as such I will have to wait an additional day for my injection every leap year.
The only other hiccup with my scheme is that, for reasons which elude me, my phone’s alarm system which I have so far relied on for injections does not let me set alarms for every ten, or even every five days. This means I will have to either set the next alarm manually with each injection, rely on my phone’s calendar notifications, or find some 3rd party alternative, and I am not excited about any of these options.
Regardless, I have kept you long enough, and so I will now take my leave. Thank you dear reader for your time, and as always farewell until next we meet.
