Hello dear reader, and welcome back. Oh, how I wish to have returned to you sooner than now. My internship has busied me so, along with a number of other things, especially as my internship means I am no longer able to make posts most mornings, as is my usual preference. Regardless, I am glad to meet again, and I am excited to be discussing a few new things with you.

Firstly, let me turn to the matter of my internship. I hope you do not take my bemoaning the loss of my mornings writing blogposts to mean I am dissatisfied at all with my working at the archive. Far from it, I have only spent four days there so far, and each has been a wonderful experience for me. Handling the artifacts, and even being around them at all, is incredibly invigorating and greatly exciting. This goes for the more innocuous items, such as old photographs, but also includes the more typically exciting (including an actual sword, which I was able to hold !). While it could be said that my work so far has been rather menial, it is work that I have greatly enjoyed nonetheless, and even including the menial nature of labeling vinyl records, and digitizing photographs. I am excited to see what will come next for me.

Moving on, some of you may have been intrigued by my mention of “new family” in the title of this post. It is my joy to inform you that my family has adopted a new cat ! More specifically, an orange who we have decided to name Titi, after the old French footballer Thierry Henry. Tragically, I cannot find my SD card reader, and so you will have to take my word on his adorableness as I cannot share any pictures of him. We have had him now a few days, and already he has proven to be a delight (although Napoléon, our old cat, has not been inclined as of yet to agree), and I expect to tell more of him in the future.

Lastly, I shall briefly touch on the matter of my sleep issues. I can now gladly say that it seems my problems seem to have abated. While sleep is still not as full or fulfilling as possible, it is still greatly improved from what it was a few blogposts ago. I expect I should not mention it further unless there is some sudden or dramatic turn for the worse.

With that, I feel that now is a good point to sign off. Farewell until next we meet, dear reader, and thank you for your time as always.
