Woe !

Hello, dear reader. I come to you now in as good a spirit as I am able to muster. I am glad to be writing to you all again, although the subject of this blogpost is, as you may be able to surmise from the title and my tone thusfar, not one which I am greatly pleased about. Alas, I will take what pleasure I can from discussing it with you here with you all.

I will cut right to the chase in saying that, in the days following my last post, I have slept either incredibly poorly, or not at all. This has had quite the effect on me, which I am sure is no great surprise. The precise cause of this curse that has sapped my energy and liveliness is not clear to me, however it is my guess that it is some combination of a number of stresses on my life, some of which I have discussed, and some of which I will withhold from this blog, for personal reasons.

I hope I will be able to bring under control my sleep soon, in particular before 20 Prairial (8 June). I will that day start an internship at a local archive ; the internship greatly excites me, but I fear that my lack of sleep will cause me to under-preform or otherwise make my time there a miserable experience.

I will do my best to both get through my fatigue in the coming days and reign in my capacity for sleep before my internship begins. I expect to discuss the start of my internship here once it has happened, so I will update you on how well my efforts succeeded then. I am at least glad to have a number of people supporting and comforting me in this time, and I remain grateful to them. Now, dear reader, as always thank you for your time, and farewell until next we meet.
