Hello, dear reader. I would like to have updated this blog sooner, but I have found myself entirely swamped by my studies and the work for my classes yet unfinished. Even now, as this semester nears its culmination, it is merciless in what it demands of me, though the end is now in clear sight. Before I delve more into my university work, let me turn to more enjoyable happenings.

I have, as any who took note of the title of this post, acquired for myself a new phone ! My prior phone, despite the affection I still hold for it, has grown quite old, and through its years of service it has earned no shortage of scars and problems which impede my use of it. As such, earlier this décade (more precisely, the 13 Floréal (2 May), I upgraded from my iPhone 12 to a 2025 Motorola razr. Part of this shift was motivated by a desire for a semi-clean break from my past, facilitated by the switch from iPhone to Android device. It would however be a lie, I must admit, if I said part of my interest in getting this new phone was not motivated by getting the razr specifically.

I would be remiss to not include an image of the phone

For any unfamiliar, the Motorola razr is a foldable smartphone ; while folded it is roughly the size of a Gameboy Advance SP. I have so far greatly enjoyed the device, though there have been many a thing to get used to, and the occasional minor inconvenience. Its folded screen is quite novel, and has already proved itself to be valuable. It shall be seen to what extent I discuss the phone in future. I think I should only like to do so if something truly important or shocking happens.

Now we return to the matter of my schoolwork, which I must confess this blog post is a procrastination on. The class which weighs most heavily on my mind at this present moment is not, as you may assume from my prior discussions, my capstone class or my French Revolution class. Instead, I find myself preoccupied almost entirely by my General Education 101 class. I do not recall to what extent I have already discussed the class, but in brief, the class and every assignment in it has been simple and boring to the extent that doing anything in the class is incredibly difficult, if only because it is a herculean task to bring forward the motivation to do the assignment. There is yet one more assignment which remains, a two to three page reflection paper on that assignment and my time in that course as a whole. The assignment is due tomorrow night, and I have only so far written a single sentence for it. Have no worry, dear reader ; there is no doubt in my mind that I will write the paper in time. I have, with little difficulty, written essays far more challenging and difficult during my time at this university in a single day, and this one will fare similarly.

As for my other courses, they continue. We are nearing the culmination of our French Revolution role-play, and although events have generally proceeded to the favor of my faction, I find myself ill at ease, and there are grim portents on the horizon. For my capstone class, I have been preparing and practicing a PowerPoint presentation, but I intend on discussing this matter more in-depth after the completion of my presentation.

And so, we find ourselves at the end of this post. Thank you as always, dear reader, and I wish you farewell until next we meet.
